2021 Schedule of Fees

Pursuant to the currently adopted 2012 International Fire Code, Section 113.2 and MCA 7-33-2107, the Central Valley Fire District Board of Trustees has adopted the following fee schedule to recover costs for services provided.

Fire Prevention Services

City of Belgrade

  • City of Belgrade Subdivision: Fees are collected by the City of Belgrade Planning Department and distributed to Central Valley Fire District for subdivision reviews and inspections. Contact the City of Belgrade for current fee schedule.

Central Valley Fire District

  • Initial Fire Inspection: No Charge
    • Second inspection fee: No Charge (Notice of Violation Issued)
    • Third and Subsequent Inspection(s) fee: $ 100 per visit until violations abated/corrected
    • Re-inspection for Failed Final Inspection/Acceptance Testing: $100
  • Commercial State Licensing Inspection (Daycare, Liquor, etc.): $25
  • Operational Permit: For hazardous occupancies and operations as determined and defined by International Fire Code: $50
  • Residential Fire Sprinkler installation (NFPA 13D): $200 fee for plan review and final inspection. Rate established by Gallatin County and paid directly to Central Valley Fire District.
  • Commercial Sprinkler: $150 per hour, two hours minimum, plan review, required inspections, and acceptance testing.
  • Commercial Fire Alarm: $150 per hour, two hours minimum, plan review, required inspections, and acceptance testing.
  • Alternative Fire Extinguishing Systems: $200 per system for plan review, required inspections, and acceptance testing
  • Installation of Fire Pumps and related equipment: $100 per pump unit for plan review, required inspections and acceptance testing.
  • Commercial Property Fire Code Review, $0.05 per square foot plus $50.00. Fees include plan review, comments, approval/permitting, and required inspections.
  • Subdivision Review: Per Gallatin County Fee schedule, collected by the Gallatin County Planning Department and distributed to Central Valley Fire District.
  • Rural Fire Protection Water Supply Systems (ponds and draft hydrants) plan review and acceptance testing: $350.00
  • Performing work without International Fire Code required permits: $100 and double permit fees when processed.
  • Removal of Fire Code STOP WORK ORDER: $200
  • Locked or blocked exits creating Life Safety Hazard:
    • $250 per door first offense in calendar year
    • $500 per door second offense in calendar year
    • $1000 per door third offense in calendar year

Emergency Response

  • In District Emergency: No Charge
  • Excessive use/abuse of Fire and Emergency Services within the District: Current FEMA equipment and personnel rate schedule.
  • Hazardous Materials Incident Response: replacement rate for equipment as permissible under SARA Title 3 Act
  • Ambulance Transport: per the Central Valley Fire District EMS transport fee schedule
  • Out of District Mutual Aid Request: No Charge
  • Out of District Emergency Response, non-mutual aid response: Current FEMA equipment rate schedule, plus personnel costs.
